What is the Opportunity Scholarship?
The BLE Opportunity Scholarship is a need-based financial aid program designed to support bright, motivated students in grades 6–12 from low-income families.
The goal? To remove economic obstacles and make world-class virtual education accessible and attainable.
Through this scholarship, students receive:

75% to 100% tuition coverage based on financial need

Technology grants for families with severe hardship, which may include:

A school-issued laptop

Qualifying Factors
Who is Eligible?
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Enrolled (or planning to enroll) full-time in grades 6–12 at BLE Wollingsford Academy
-
Have a household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
-
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8
-
Submit a personal video statement
-
Provide documentation, including:
-
Federal tax return
-
Recent pay stubs (within the last 60 days)
-
Government assistance documentation (if applicable)

Rolling Applications Accepted Year-Round (as funding allows)
Step-by-Step Application Process:

Submit all required financial and academic documents

Upload a 250–300 word student video statement

Schedule an optional virtual interview (if requested)
Renewal Requirements
To renew annually, students must:

Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8

Participate in quarterly academic check-ins

Submit updated financial documentation each year

Complete the annual student reflection survey
